The Mataha expedition
The Mataha-expedition scanned the labyrinth of Egypt at Hawara. A colossal temple described by Herodotus, to contain 3000 rooms full of hieroglyphs. A legendary building lost for 2 millenia under the ancient sands of Egypt. Louis De Cordier realized the Mataha expedition as coordinator of the Ghent University, NRIAG (Cairo) cooperation. The Mataha-expedition found its origin in Louis De Cordier his interest in ancient civilizations and electromagnetic waves. The holistic vision of the Mataha-expedition enabled cutting edge research through the cooperation of art & science.
