 |  | Half-Life The parasite project Half-Life, consisted of a biosphere module in which algae were grown. The treated water, the air-system (HVAC) and the electricity for the bio-lights needed to cultivate it were taken from a petrol station using a 150m red umbilical cord. A mother pumping station literally fed the organic architecture. A transparent membrane covered the plastic bow-structure, a light architectural structure that could be dismanteld. On the bottom of it, a mixture of coal, earth and gravel served to drain the water of the automated spray-system. The small film of micro-vegetation was cultivated on the inside surface of the membrane. During the exhibition the green algae slowly took over the entire interior of Half-Life.
